A friend told me about this recipe. I like a milder Chili but my husband likes a hotter Chili. I use one original seasoning mix and one mild seasoning mix. He adds hot sauce (seasoning) to his. There are many different types of seasoning mix so you can make it as hot as you like. You could probably put this in a slow cooker and cook it for a longer time.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans pinto or kidney beans, or 1 of each
  • 2 packages chili seasoning mix
  • 1 - medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 - medium onion, chopped
  • - garlic, to taste

How To Make easy chili

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Season as desired. Drain the grease from the meat and put the meat in a large stew pot. Combine the onion, garlic, and bell pepper in skillet and saute until tender. Put in pot with meat. Add undrained beans, tomatoes, and chili seasoning mix. Cook until mixture bubbles and then simmer for about 1 hour.
