Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground lean beef, turkey or pork
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2-16 ounces cans whole tomatoes, undrained
- 1-16 ounce can diced tomatoes(spicy), undrained
- 1-16 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1-6 ounce can tomato paste
- 4-15 ounces cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
How To Make diana's quick chili

Step 1Brown beef over medium heat in a large stockpot. Drain excess fat. Add onion, peppers and garlic. Stir in chili powder, organo, basil, red pepper and cumin, and mix well. Cook until onions are tender. Add sugar and salt. Stir in tomatoes, sauce, paste and beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer at least 1 hour. Serves 16.
