Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup finely chopped white onion, divided
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon each chipotle chili powder, paprika, and red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 can kidney beans, drained (15 oz)
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- sour cream
How To Make cincinnati chili

Step 1In a Dutch oven, add the ground beef and 2 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil.

Step 2Add the tomato sauce, broth, 1/2 cup white onion, garlic, bay leaf, chili powder, paprika, vinegar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, allspice, cinnamon, oregano, and cloves. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

Step 3Reduce to a simmer and simmer 1 hour. Add the cocoa powder and beans and simmer another hour.

Step 4Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water. Drain.

Step 5Plate the spaghetti. Then top with the meat sauce. Top with the remaining white onions, cheese and sour cream.
