A good little recipe I got from my Aunt..love me some chili dogs..I always make this a day ahead of using it, to let the flavors mingle..

1 large onion,diced
1 tablespoon oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound lean ground beef
2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons brown mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make chili for weenies

Step 1

n a medium saucepan brown beef in oil stirring and chopping until it is fine in texture and fully cooked without liquid. Remove any oil with a paper towel. Mix in the onion and garlic on medium low heat and stir about 5 minutes. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, bring to a low simmer and then cook on low about 15-20 minutes. I like to add cheese sauce, and fine diced onion on top of my dog..on a nice steamed bun..
