Ingredients For chili dog chili

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    red bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 can
    stewed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can
    V8 Bloody Mary mix (8 oz)
  • 2 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 5
    fat hot dogs, sliced
  • 1 clove
    chili beans
  • sour cream, for serving

How To Make chili dog chili

  • 1
    Add the oil to a large pot. Sauté the onions, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.

    Add the stewed tomatoes, Bloody Mary mix, chili powder, cumin, and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer. Simmer about 10 minutes.

    Remove from heat and with an immersion blender blend to a smooth chili.
  • 4
    Add the hot dogs and chili beans. Cook 5 minutes. taste and adjust for salt and pepper.
