Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 package chili seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 6 ounces corn chips
  • 8 ounces monterey jack cheese, cubed small
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated

How To Make chili-cheese jubilee

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in butter.
  • Step 2
    Add tomato sauce, chili seasoning mix and water; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Meanwhile, beat eggs slightly; add cream, mixing well.
  • Step 4
    Remove tomato-chili mixture from heat; add egg-cream mixture slowly, stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
    Place half the package of corn chips in the bottom of a 1 1/2-quart casserole; add half the Monterey Jack cheese and cover with half the sauce.
  • Step 6
    Repeat layers once.
  • Step 7
    Top with sour cream; sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
  • Step 8
    Bake, uncovered, in preheated 325 oven 25 to 30 minutes.
