chili at it's best
I have made this recipe for years. I got it from nowhere. I just make it the way I like it! Hope you do too. I make it for the hunters at the lodge & they all ask for my recipe. I like adding shredded cheddar cheese when I eat mine. Sometimes less is more!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds hamburger or deer burger
- 2 medium onions, cut in slivers
- 3 large cans chili beans
- 3 cans red beans
- 3 cans pinto or the equivilent of home cooked pintos with juice
- 2 cans diced tomatoes- chili style or stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 -2/3 jar great value (walmart) chili powder- i use more like almost 2/3
How To Make chili at it's best

Step 1In large dutch oven or stock pot, brown your burger adding just enough oil to keep from sticking if necessary.

Step 2When almost browned, add your onions & continue cooking until onions are just translucent.

Step 3Add the chili beans.

Step 4Add the pinto beans.

Step 5Add the red beans.

Step 6Add the diced tomatoes & chili powder & bring to a boil.

Step 7Turn the heat to low & continue cooking & stirring with lid off for about 30-60 minutes, until chili becomes thick.

Step 8I like to add shredded cheddar to my bowl of chili when I eat it. Enjoy!!
