I have made this recipe for years. I got it from nowhere. I just make it the way I like it! Hope you do too. I make it for the hunters at the lodge & they all ask for my recipe.
I like adding shredded cheddar cheese when I eat mine.

Sometimes less is more!

How to Make CHILI AT IT'S BEST

Step-by-Step

  1. In large dutch oven or stock pot, brown your burger adding just enough oil to keep from sticking if necessary.
  2. When almost browned, add your onions & continue cooking until onions are just translucent.
  3. Add the chili beans.
  4. Add the pinto beans.
  5. Add the red beans.
  6. Add the diced tomatoes & chili powder & bring to a boil.
  7. Turn the heat to low & continue cooking & stirring with lid off for about 30-60 minutes, until chili becomes thick.
  8. I like to add shredded cheddar to my bowl of chili when I eat it. Enjoy!!
