chili
(1 RATING)
I have been looking for a great chili recipe that I could make from scratch. This one fits the bill. I think the addition of the red and green bell peppers is what makes this chili. Don't skimp on the red bell pepper, even though it can be a little pricier than green bell peppers. I think this chili gets better the longer you have it. However, it probably won't last long at your house, it is so good! Enjoy!

How To Make chili
-
Step 1Cook ground beef (I used lean ground round) or turkey with onions, green and red bell peppers and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
-
Step 2Add remaining ingredients and let simmer about an hour, stirring occasionally. May need to add water and salt/pepper as chili cooks, depending on how thick you like your chili.
-
Step 3Can be served with shredded cheese of your choice on top and crackers or cornbread.
