I recently changed my chili recipe to this one and my husband announced that this was "the best" chili I had ever made.

  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 medium
    onion chopped
  • 2 large
    can diced tomatoes (1 1/2 cans of water)
  • 1 large
    can tomato paste
  • 1 can(s)
    original rotel tomatoes w/chilies
  • 2 can(s)
    dark red kidney beans undrained
  • 1 can(s)
    refried beans
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3/4 bottle
    mccormick mexican style chili powder (do not substitute)
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make CHILI


  1. Brown ground beef and remove any fat.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook stirring often until onion is done - about 40 minutes.
  3. Serve with grated cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream!
