This recipe can also be substituted with ground turkey, but adding a little extra spice when using turkey is recommended to prevent a gamey taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 - onion, medium
  • 1 - green pepper, medium
  • 1 - red pepper, medium
  • 28 ounces tomatoes, canned whole
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 24 ounces red kidney beans
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

How To Make chili

  • Step 1
    Cook beef in frying pan until done. Drain grease. In separate pan, cook chopped onion, red pepper and green pepper with olive oil. Cook until tender.
  • Step 2
    Mix tomato paste in meat first. Drain whole tomatoes and smash with large spoon and blend with the meat.
  • Step 3
    In a large pot, mix all remaining ingredients. Cook at medium heat until boiling. Turn to low and cook covered for 25 minutes.
