Buzzard's Breath Chili

Don't let the name scare you away! This is a very robust chili with NO beans. You can't say the name without smiling and wondering what is in it!

  •   3 lb
    lean ground chuck
  •   1 large
    onion, chopped
  •   2 clove
    garlic, minced
  •   1 dash(es)
    red pepper
  •   3 Tbsp
    chili powder
  •   1 tsp
  •   1 Tbsp
  •   2 tsp
  •   1/4 oz
  •   1 dash(es)
    cayenne pepper
  •   1 qt
    beef stock
  •   1 pt
    tomatoes, chopped
  •   8 oz
    tomato sauce
  •   3 Tbsp

How To Make

  • 1
    Brown the lean ground chuck with chopped onions and garlic in a large stock pot, breaking the meat into small pieces. Cook until no longer pink; drain fat.
  • 2
    Add your spices, beef stock, tomatoes, tomato sauce and ketchup to the drained meat mixture. Stir well. Cover and simmer for one hour.
