  • 3 lb
    lean ground chuck
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 dash(es)
    red pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/4 oz
  • 1 dash(es)
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 qt
    beef stock
  • 1 pt
    tomatoes, chopped
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 3 Tbsp

How to Make Buzzard's Breath Chili


  1. Brown the lean ground chuck with chopped onions and garlic in a large stock pot, breaking the meat into small pieces. Cook until no longer pink; drain fat.
  2. Add your spices, beef stock, tomatoes, tomato sauce and ketchup to the drained meat mixture. Stir well. Cover and simmer for one hour.
