  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 19 oz
    black bean soup
  • 14 1/2 oz
    fire roasted tomatoes, canned
  • 8 3/4 oz
    corn, canned
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 c
    green onions, sliced
  • ·
    sour cream

How to Make Black Bean Chili Chowder


  1. In a large saucepan, saute onions in olive oil for a couple of minutes, add garlic and saute another couple of minutes.
  2. Add soup, tomatoes, corn, 1/2 of the green onions, red pepper flakes and salsa; bring to boil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium; cook 3 minutes.
  4. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and reserved green onions.
