wild rice and chicken soup

Being from the Midwest and having lived in MN, wild rice is a big deal. This is a GREAT soup recipe, tried and true! Best I'VE ever tasted, let me know what YOU think.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, cold
- 4 - celery ribs
- 2 - carrots peeled and diced
- 1 small white onion diced
- 1 small red onion diced
- 1/2 cup green onions sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill weed
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 2 - bayleaves
- 1/2 teaspoon tumeric
- 4 quarts chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups wild rice
- 1/2 cup white rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 - egg yolks
- 2 cups cooked chicken diced
- 3 cups sliced mushrooms
How To Make wild rice and chicken soup

Step 1Melt butter over medium heat. Add first 5 ingredients, sauté until slightly tender. 5 minutes. Add next 5 ingredients.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a large pot, combine broth, rice and salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and add celery mixture. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add more stock if too thick. Place egg yolks in small bowl, whisk in 1 cup hot soup, then whisk mixture back into soup. Add chicken and mushrooms. Discard bay leaves. Heat gently; do not boil.
