  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • ·
    diced carrot
  • 1/4 c
  • 11/2 Tbsp
  • 11/2 tsp
    curry powder
  • 4 c
    chicken broth
  • ·
    apple,cored and chopped
  • 1/2 c
  • ·
    cooked chicken cut in cubes
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • pinch
    dried thyme
  • 1/2 c
    heated cream(ihave used canned evaporated milk)

How to Make mulligatawny soup


  1. saute oniona, celery, carrote and butter in large soup pot. Add flour and curry powder and cook 5 min more. Add chicken stock. Mix well and brin g to a boil, Turn down heat and simmer 1/2 hour.
  2. Add apple, rice chicken salt and pepper and thyme. Simmer 15-20 min
  3. Add hot cream when serving. Alot oof the ingredient measurements are approximate. A matter of taste
