Favorite Chicken Noodle Soup

3 qt
chicken stock
chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
2 c
carrots, sliced
2 c
celery, sliced
3 c
small egg noodles
1 c
mushrooms, sliced
3 Tbsp
fresh parsley, chopped
1/3 c
1 tsp
fresh rosemary, chopped
1 c
grated parmesan cheese
3/4 c
heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste


1Bring stock to a boil, add carrots and cook for 10 minutes.
2Add celery and continue to cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
3Add egg noodles and cook according to directions on package.
4When noodles are done, add chicken, mushrooms, parsley, sherry and rosemary.
5Add parmesan and cream, if using.
6Cook for another 10 minutes
7Adjust seasoning, if needed, by adding seasoning salt and pepper.
8If soup is to thick add chicken broth to desired consistency.
