drunken chicken soup

We needed a good warming soup for a cold January day. Since hubby needed leave for work, I needed to pull something together fast! Served with homemade bread. Success!

Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, very thinly sliced
- - olive oil, as needed
- 1 jar vodka sauce (prego 24 ozs)
- 1 box swanson chicken broth (32 ozs)
- 1 can 10 oz chicken, drained & cubed
- 2 cups farfalle pasta, cooked according to directions
- 1 cup whole milk
- - parmesan cheese
- - salt and cracked pepper
How To Make drunken chicken soup

Step 1Start with a little olive oil in bottom of soup pot, add minced garlic & thinly sliced onion. Saute till soft. Onion translucent.

Step 2Meanwhile in another pot cook farfalle according to package directions.

Step 3Drain canned chicken, chop coarsely. Add to pot with onions & garlic. Heat, let brown slightly. Salt & pepper to taste.

Step 4Add the chicken broth. Add jar of Vodka sauce, and 1 cup milk. Drain, pasta and add to pot. Let it gently warm through, scoop up into individual bowls. Top with parm & more cracked sea salt & cracked pepper as desired. Enjoy!
