Ingredients

  • 1/4-1/2 pound bacon, cut in pieces
  • 2 tablespoons onion, diced/minced
  • 1 can cream of potato soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cans milk (measured in emptied soup can)
  • 1 can cooked wild rice, drained
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 bag shredded carrots
  • 4 ounces velveeta cheese, cubed
  • - black pepper (to taste)
  • - italian seasoning (to taste)

How To Make creamy chicken wild rice soup

  • Step 1
    Brown and crisp bacon in pan with onion; drain.
  • Step 2
    Boil or steam carrots to soften them.
  • Step 3
    Add all ingredients to a large pot. Stir, combine, and heat (don't boil) to melt cheese. You can add more or less cheese to taste.
  • Step 4
    You can also put all ingredients into a crock pot instead of doing it on the stovetop. This recipe doubles very easily.
