  • 1/4-1/2 lb
    bacon, cut in pieces
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion, diced/minced
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of potato soup
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 can(s)
    milk (measured in emptied soup can)
  • 1 can(s)
    cooked wild rice, drained
  • 2 c
    cooked chicken, cubed (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 bag(s)
    shredded carrots
  • 4 oz
    velveeta cheese, cubed
  • ·
    black pepper (to taste)
  • ·
    italian seasoning (to taste)

How to Make Creamy Chicken Wild Rice Soup


  1. Brown and crisp bacon in pan with onion; drain.
  2. Boil or steam carrots to soften them.
  3. Add all ingredients to a large pot. Stir, combine, and heat (don't boil) to melt cheese. You can add more or less cheese to taste.
  4. You can also put all ingredients into a crock pot instead of doing it on the stovetop. This recipe doubles very easily.
