Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1.5 pounds chicken breasts, boneless, skinless and cubed
- 3/4 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 cup milk
How To Make cream of chicken soup

Step 1Heat oil in large saucepan; add chicken and celery and saute until tender.

Step 2Sprinkle flour over chicken and celery and stir to mix well.

Step 3Pour chicken broth and water into saucepan slowly, stirring constantly.

Step 4Add remaining ingredients except milk; heat to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.

Step 5Stir in milk and simmer just until milk is heated.
