Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 pint half and half
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper (no more)
- 1 can green chiles, mild (4 oz)
- 1 can ro-tel
- 1 - jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 - onion
- 12 sprigs cilantro, fresh
- 1 pound velveeta
- 8 ounces monterey jack cheese (grated)
- 3 cups chicken or turkey, fine chopped
How To Make chicken tortilla soup

Step 1In large pot bring chicken broth to a boil.

Step 2Combine water, flour, half & half, and white pepper in food processor. Mix well until smooth

Step 3Add flour mixture slowly to broth, stirring constantly till it thickens.

Step 4Combine green chiles, Ro-Tel, jalapenos, cilantro, and onion in food processor, chop until very fine.

Step 5Add chopped pepper mixture and cubed Velveeta cheese to broth stirring constantly until cheese is melted.

Step 6Add chicken or turkey, then heat till low boil stirring constantly.

Step 7Serve over tortilla chips and sprinkle Monterey Jack cheese on top.
