I saw a recipe for this soup but it had ingredients that I could not have because of dietary restrictions. So I created this one and I must say, it does not last in our house. Great with homemade rolls. My husband can't get enough of it!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans chicken broth
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 12 ounces frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make chicken tortellini soup

  • Step 1
    In large dutch oven, bring broth and water to boil; add cubed chicken. Reduce heat; cook for 10-20 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add rest of ingredients; cook 10-15 minutes longer or until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
  • Step 3
    Makes 8-10 servings.
