Ingredients
- 2 - chicken breasts
- 15 ounces canned navy beans, drained, rinsed
- 14 1/2 ounces stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups carrots, chopped
- 2 cups cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 - bay leaf
How To Make chicken stew

Step 1Cut chicken breasts in half; salt and pepper. Place in crock pot. Turn on low. Add Navy beans, tomatoes, chicken broth, carrots, cabbage, peas, onion and seasonings. Cover and cook at least 8 hours; or on high for 4 hours.

Step 2After it has cooked, remove the bay leaf and chicken. Discard the bay leaf and shred the chicken and replace into the stew. Salt and pepper to taste.
