Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken breast
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 quarts water, cold
  • pinch of thyme
  • 2 pinches garlic cloves
  • 2 pinches of rosemary
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 - butter

How To Make chicken soup

  • Step 1
    Place chicken breast, celery, and onions in large pot; cover with water, about 1 1/2 quarts. Cook until chicken is done about one hour. Remove cooked chicken from pot, and finely chop. Return the chicken to the pot. Add thyme, parsley, garlic, cloves,rosemary, bay leaf,poultry seasoning, black pepper,and butter.Bring mixture to a boil and lower heat. Remove 1/2 cup of liquid and let cool. Mix cooled liquid with cornstarch then add to pot and stir. Simmer on low heat until soup thickens or until reaches desired consistency.
