This is a very simple soup that is very good. I make it with the spinach, but you can leave that out if you want too.

1/2 lb
bow tie pasta, cooked
1/4 lb
fresh mushrooms, sliced
celery stalks, chopped
1 bunch
green onions chopped (or less if you prefer)
1 Tbsp
butter or margarine
chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
6 c
chicken broth
salt and pepper to your liking
1 c
fresh spinach, chopped (optional)


1Saute mushrooms, celery, and green onions in large saucepan in butter for 5 minutes.
2Add chicken pieces to pan and brown lightly. Add broth and simmer for 45 minutes.
3Add cooked pasta and spinach and heat till warmed through and spinach is wilted
