Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken
  • 2 - celery stalks
  • - "just a pinch" of parsley, minced
  • 4 quarts water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup barley, uncooked
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 large carrots, cubed
  • - corn, frozen
  • - peas, frozen
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • - "just a pinch" of pepper
  • 2 large potatoes, cubed

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in large pot and simmer until chicken is tender.
