Ingredients
- 8 ounces okra, trimmed
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2.5 pounds chicken, pieces
- 1 cup onions, coarsely chopped
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 28 ounces tomatoes, drained and diced
- 1/2 cup white wine, dry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- - "just a pinch" of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
How To Make chicken and okra stew

Step 1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2Place the okra in a bowl with the vinegar and water and let soak for 20 minutes then drain and pat dry.

Step 3Combine and gently mix everything together, being careful not to crush the okra.

Step 4Cover the casserole and place it in the preheated oven.

Step 5Immediately reduce the heat to 350 degrees and cook for 40 minutes.
