Ingredients
- 1 large fatty chicken
- carrots - large chunks
- water
- seasoning
- potatoes - large chunks
- celery salt
- DUMPLINGS:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon butter
- flour
- RICE:
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make chicken and dumpling soup

Step 1Cut up a large fatty chicken

Step 2Place in large pot

Step 3Cover the chicken with water and season as desired

Step 4Let simmer slowly 1 hour

Step 5Add potatoes and carrots (large pieces)

Step 6Remove chicken

Step 7Debone chicken

Step 8Season with celery salt

Step 9Make dumplings
-
Step 10Mix 3 eggs, 1 tsp salt

Step 11Boil 1 cup water with 1 tsp butter in it

Step 12Add to eggs

Step 13Add enough flour until you can drop a dumpling from a spoon (it should be sticky)

Step 14Add dumplings to mixture chicken cooked in.

Step 15Cover and cook 20 minutes

Step 16Cook rice by mixing 2 c water, 1/2 c rice and 1/2 tsp salt. Cook 1 hour

Step 17When dumplings are cooked, serve chicken soup, vegetables, and dumplings over rice.
