Ingredients
- 2 - (4 lb.) stewing chickens
- 1 pound salt pork, sliced thin or chopped
- 8 cups freshly cut corn
- 10 cups sliced peeled tomatoes
- 4 cups diced peeled potatoes
- 8 cups butter beans (lima beans)
- 2 - medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
- - salt and pepper to taste

Step 1Cut up chicken. Cover with water in heavy kettle; cook until meat fall off the bone, adding water if necessary.

Step 2Add salt pork. Add vegetables and seasoning.
