winter vegtable beef soup

I made this soup for judges at a swim competition for my daughters swim team her senior year. They loved it so much one of the moms the following year called and said they won't judge the swimmers unless they get the soup!

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 4 cups beef stew meat
- 1 large onion - diced
- 3 - carrots- diced
- 4 - potatoes - peeled and diced
- 1 cup frozen lima beans
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 large stewed tomatoes -**those ones you canned this fall
- 1 cup your favorite vegtable can be added
- 6 cups water
- 3 - beef bouillon, cubes
- 2-3 - bay leafs
- 1 cup bow tie noodles
- 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned pepper
- - salt to taste
How To Make winter vegtable beef soup

Step 1In large soup pot melt butter, sprinkle beef with salt and pepper, brown beef just until it has some color.

Step 2Add water and all the ingredients except the bow tie noodles. Cover cook on low until meat is tender, at least 4-5 hours.

Step 3Add Bow tie noodles let simmer until noodles are done approx 12-15 min.

Step 4This recipe makes a lot of soup. Great served with a crusty bread!
