Nothing like vegetable soup on a cold winter day! Adjust the amount of rice and barley that you add to get the consistency of soup that you want.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound stew meat
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1/2 - small onion, chopped
  • 1 package frozen vegetables
  • 1/2 cup rice, adjust amount to preference
  • 1/2 cup barley, adjust amount to preference
  • 1 can peeled chopped tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon worchestire
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • - salt & pepper to taste
  • - parsley flakes
  • 3-4 cups water

How To Make vegetable soup

  • Step 1
    Brown the stew meat in a little oil.
  • Step 2
    Combine stew meat and all other ingredients in a large soup pot and cook on low for a minimum of an hour.
