If you don't want to use the Package Taco Seasonings. Here's a good alternate recipe on making your own spice blend. Thanks to Lillian Russo; here on [JAP].

Lillian Russo's Spice Blend:
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp cilantro, dried
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    black beans
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    red beans
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    del monte fiesta corn
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    diced tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz) can(s)
    rotel tomatoes
  • 1 c
    beef broth
  • 1 pkg
    hidden valley ranch
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning

How to Make Taco Soup


  1. Brown the meat in skillet; drain well.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to crock pot and stir.
  3. Simmer in crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours.
