This is a very good soup , I enjoy it on a cold evening with a thick piece of garlic french bread.

Ingredients
- 1 - egg
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1 small onion ; chopped
- 1 3/4 teaspoons salt ; divided
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 3 cups water
- 1 pound red potatoes ; cubed
- 1 package frozen pea's ; thawed
How To Make swedish meat ball soup

Step 1In a small bowl beat egg and add 1/3 cup cream , bread crumbs , onion and 1 teas. of salt. Add beef and mix well , shape into 1/2" meatballs.

Step 2In a dutch oven or a soup kettle ; brown the meat balls in the butter. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 3Drain off most of the fat from the kettle and add : flour , bouillon , pepper and garlic salt ; stir until smooth.

Step 4Gradually stir in the water and bring to a boil ; stirring often.

Step 5Add potatoes and meatballs and reduce the heat ; Cover and simmer for 25 minutes , or until the potatoes are tender , stir in the pea's and the remaining cream , heat through.
