1 lbbulk pork sausage, hot
1 smallonion, chopped
2 clovegarlic, minced
1 tspolive oil
4 can(s)great northern beans, undrained
2 can(s)(14.5 oz). ready-to-use chicken broth
1 can(s)diced tomatoes, undrained
1 tspdried basil
1/2 tspblack pepper
How to Make Spicy Sausage & Bean Soup
- In a large soup pot, cook the sausage, onion & garlic in oil for 5-6 minutes till no longer pink, stirring frequently to break up the meat.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium-low and simmer uncovered 30 minutes.
- I like this soup spicy, if you prefer mild sausage or even turkey sausage, experiment & make it yours.
