Have made this over many years - have used both ground sirloin or boneless round steak, cut into 1/2 inch cubes.

Ingredients For slow-cooker vegetable soup

  • 1 lb
    beef (i used ground sirloin)
  • 1 can
    (14-1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 3 c
    water
  • 2 md
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 md
    onions, diced
  • 3 stalk
    celery ribs, sliced
  • 2
    carrots, sliced
  • 3
    beef bouillion cubes
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1-1/2 c
    frozen vegetables

How To Make slow-cooker vegetable soup

    In a slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients.

    Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
  • 3
    Add vegetables; cover and cook 2 hours longer or until meat and vegetables are tender.
