1 1/2 lbbeef chuck roast, cut into 1 inch cubes) or can use stew meat

1 1/2 lbpotatoes cut into bite sized pieces

6 mdcarrots, cut into bite sized pieces

3stalks celery, cut into bite sized pieces

1onion, cut into bite sized pieces

3 Tbspflour

1can beef broth

1can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes

3 Tbspcanola oil

1 tspdry mustard
-
1/2 tspdried thyme
-
1 tspdiced garlic

1 tspbrowning sauce if desired
How To Make slow cooker beef stew

1Place meat in zip lock bag with flour. Seal and toss well to coat. Brown in oil. Layer ingredients in crockpot in this order: meat, carrots, potatoes, celery, onion, beef broth, tomatoes, garlic, thyme, mustard. Cook on high for 2-3 hours, then turn on low for about 4-5 hours or until tender. You can stir to mix ingredients after the first couple of hours.
