When making roasts and stew, do not use more liquid than specified in the recipe because more juices in meats and vegetables are retained in a slow cooker than in conventional cooking.

tomatoes, canned
2 tsp
quick cooking tapioca
10 1/2 oz
beef broth
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
2 tsp
parsley flakes
bay leaf
1 tsp
1/4 tsp

How to Make Slow-cooked Beef Stew


  • 1Brown beef cubes; drain. Put into a slow cooker and add remaining ingredients, stirring to blend. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • 2I like to serve this soup with a loaf of beer bread!
