Ingredients
- 1-2 pound stew beef cubes
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3-4 carrots, scraped and sliced
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 medium onions, quartered
- 1-2 clove garlic, minced
- 2 boxes (32 oz.) beef broth
- 2-3 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon kitchen bouquet browning & seasoning sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh, chopped parsley
How To Make simple beef stew

Step 1In a zip lock bag, add flour. Add in stew beef to coat.

Step 2Heat oil in the bottom of a large dutch oven.

Step 3Add flour and coated beef and cook until browned.

Step 4When beef is browned, pour in broth. Add carrots and onions, salt and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour.

Step 5Add potatoes and cook for another 20-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Step 6HINT: Add more flour and water in a slurry to further thicken, if needed

Step 7Add in Tbsp. browning & seasoning sauce. Stir until incorporated.

Step 8When stew is just right, add 1/4 cup fresh parsley. Serve with a nice salad and biscuits or bread and butter!
