Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 can ranch style beans
  • 1 package ranch style dressing mix
  • 1 bottle V-8
  • 1 can white hominy
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 package mixed vegetables, frozen
  • 1 can diced potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 package Martha White jalapeño cornbread, prepared according to package directions

How To Make ranch v8 vegetable beef soup

  • Step 1
    Brown ground sirloin (I like to use Worcestershire sauce and Monterey steak seasoning in this process).
  • Step 2
    In a large pot, combine all ingredients (except cornbread and cheese) and cook thoroughly
  • Step 3
    Make cornbread according to directions (can add some grated cheese in this mix).
  • Step 4
    Cook in a cast iron skillet prepped with 2 teaspoons butter, melted to keep bread from sticking.
  • Step 5
    Serve soup in a bowl with sliced cheese and cornbread on the side.
