    beef stew meat
  • 4 slice
    bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 18 oz
    brown gravy
  • 1 can(s)
    tomatoes, peeled, diced, 14 1/2 ounces with juice
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 lb
    baby carrots
  • 8
    new red potatoes, quartered
  • 2 small
    onions, cut into eighths
  • 8 oz
    fresh whole mushrooms

How to Make Provencal Beef Stew


  1. In medium skillet over med-high heat, cook beef and bacon until beef is browned; drain.
  2. In 3-1/2 to 4 quart crockpot combine gravy, tomatoes, thyme, salt and pepper.
  3. Add beef, bacon and remaining ingredients; stir gently to combine.
  4. Cover; cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until meat and veggies are tender.
