Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic clove, minced
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 14 ounces tomatoes, canned whole
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups noodles
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • - sour cream

How To Make hamburger soup

  • Step 1
    Brown meat, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In soup add oil, carrots, onions, celery and garlic; cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add broth, tomatoes, thyme, salt, pepper and beef.
  • Step 4
    Bring to a boil and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Just before serving stir in noodles and parsley and heat; serve with sour cream.
