- 1 pound ground beef
- 1.5 cups onions, diced
- 1.5 cups potato, diced
- 1 cup carrot, diced
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup tomato
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 6 bouillon cubes
- 1 cup cabbage, sliced
- 1.5 quarts water
- 1/4 cup rice
- 1 basil leaf
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
How To Make hamburg soup

Step 1Brown meat and onions in pan, stirring with fork to break up meat.

Step 2Add all vegetables except finely cut cabbage.

Step 3Add seasonings and meat to water in large pot.

Step 4Bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 5Add rice.

Step 6Simmer for 45 minutes.

Step 7Add cabbage, simmer another 45 minutes.

Step 8Stir frequently.

Step 9Serve with grated cheese.
