french onion soup stuffed mushrooms
First off let me say, I have tons of recipes.. In my head! It's always hard for me to put things on paper that I created in my head. With that said, I have so much to share. This baked mushroom recipe is one of them. French onion soup is cooked down and placed into baby Portobello Mushrooms, topped with Swiss Cheese and baked until golden brown. I wouldn't steer you wrong!!!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter (any temperature will do)
- 2 medium mushrooms 6-8 oz bottoms removed
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 3 dashes worcestershire sauce
- dash or splash of white wine
- 1/2 cup swiss cheese
How To Make french onion soup stuffed mushrooms

Step 1In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until very soft.

Step 2Splash in wine, broth, and Worcestershire. Cook for another 5 minutes, or until liquid is cooked down. Set aside.

Step 3Sprinkle mushrooms with salt. Place mushroom caps face down in a baking dish. Heap cavity with sauteed mushrooms, then sprinkle Swiss Cheese over the top. Bake at 10 minutes on 325 degrees. Turn on broiler and broil for a couple of minutes, until slightly brown.
