This is an easy, delicious one-pot meal that's great for a cold winter day or a potluck! This can also be made in a Crock Pot and brought to the office.

This soup has a different taste than the other taco soup recipes we've tried over the years. We think it is the cilantro - added in just the right amount - that makes it extra special. Hominy as an ingredient is also a nice touch. A super simple and satisfying soup recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 package Hidden Valley Fiesta Ranch seasoning mix
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 large chopped white onion
- 2 cans ranch style pinto beans (15 oz)
- 1 can white hominy, drained and rinsed (15.5 oz)
- 1 can fiesta corn, drained (15.25 oz)
- 1 can Rotel (10 oz)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups water
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- - sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
- - sour cream (optional)
- - diced green onion (optional)
- - tortilla chips (optional)
How To Make famous taco soup

Step 1Brown ground meat with the onions. Drain.

Step 2Add the rest of your ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn heat to a simmer uncovered for an hour.

Step 3Serve with sour cream, tortilla chips, and sharp cheddar cheese, and dices green onion on top.
