My husband had this recipe when we got married and thoughout the years I have "doctored it up". We just love it and you can freeze it too. Soup's always better the next day!! Ha Ha!

1-2 lb
ground chuck
2 can(s)
stewed tomatoes
1 can(s)
corn, kernel
1 small
can of tomato sauce
stalks celery, chopped
1 medium
onion, chopped
2-3 medium
carrots, chopped
2 can(s)
okra, tomatoes and corn
3-4 medium
potatoes, chopped
1 tsp
1/4 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 can(s)
lima beans
3 Tbsp
kitchen bouquet
3 can(s)
water, (use tomato cans)

How to Make Easy and Delicious Vegetable Beef Soup


  • 1Brown ground chuck; drain.
  • 2Drain almost all the juice off the corn only..the juice makes it too sweet. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil; let boil about 5 or so minutes; reduce to simmer and let it simmer as long as you want. I usually let it simmer for 2-3 hours, but you can serve it as soon as potatoes and carrots get done. You can also add any other veggies you want to it. Enjoy.
