Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1.5 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
- 3 - chopped celery stalks
- 2 - chopped onions
- 2 - sliced carrots
- 1 pound round steak, diced and browned
- 2 cups tomatoes, canned
- 2 tablespoons beef base
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup flour
How To Make crockpot steak soup

Step 1Put all ingredients in crockpot except for butter and flour.

Step 2Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Step 3One hour before serving, turn on high.

Step 4Make a roux of 1 stick butter and 1/2 cup flour (melt butter in small saucepan, on med-low heat, and stir in flour); stir until smooth.

Step 5Pour into crockpot and stir into soup.

Step 6Cook soup on high until thickened.
