An excellent recipe for making your own beef stock. My Old Recipes

4 pounds beef soup bones, cut into pieces
5 cups cold water
1 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
eight whole black peppercorns
four sprigs parsley
one large bay leaf
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup water


1mix all ingredients in slow cooker on low. Cover. Cook for 12 to 14 hours. Remove meat and bones. Strain stock. Discard meat, vegetables and seasoning.
