This is a recipe I found while browsing my favourite website Pinterest and had to try it since it had Cheese burger in the title and boy does it live up to it's name!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 - carrots, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 4 - beef bouillon, cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 1/2 cups milk, divided
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 8 ounces mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
  • - garnish with bacon, crumbled

How To Make cheesy cheeseburger soup

  • Step 1
    Brown and crumble Ground beef Drain excess grease and set aside
  • Step 2
    Combine first 8 ingredients in a large sauce pan Bring to a boil over medium-high heat Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender Stir in beef and 2 cups of milk
  • Step 3
    In a small bowl, whisk together flour and remaining 1/2 cup milk until smooth Gradually whisk into soup Bring to a boil Cook until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly (to keep it from burning) Reduce heat add cheese and stir until melted
  • Step 4
    Garnish with bacon
