Ingredients

  • BROTH
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 1 medium onion quartered
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 dried chili
  • SOUP
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 4 baby bok choy cut into pieces
  • 4 scallions chopped
  • 2 cups cooked rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1 cup rib eye sliced very thin
  • 1 cup cilantro chopped

How To Make cambodian beef soup

  • Step 1
    Place all the ingredients for the broth in a large pot. Bring to a boil reduce to a simmer over low heat and simmer 2 hours. Strain the broth and discard the solids.
  • Step 2
    Place the oil in a saucepan and add the garlic and cook 1 minutes. Add the fish sauce juice of 1 lime, sugar, scallions and bok choy and cook 2 minutes. Divide among bowls. Divide the cook noodles, rib eye and bean sprouts between each bowl.
  • Step 3
    Pour the steaming hot broth over the bowls which will cook the beef and warm the noodles. Top with cilantro
