Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef top round steak, boneless
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion, coarsly chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 clove garlic, minced (or more) :o)
- 2 large potatoes, chopped 1/2"-3/4"
- 2 cans (lg cans) tomatoes
- 2 cans whole green chilis chopped coarsly (or more)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 1/2 cups beef stock
How To Make caldillo

Step 1Cut meat into cubes ½”- ¾”. Brown well in the oil (medium high heat). Add flour, onion & garlic & continue browning about 10 min.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients ~ Simmer 2-4 hrs.

Step 3GREAT on a cold winter day! *You can cut up any steak for this – even leftover steak works well, you just don’t need to brown it, just begin where you add the flour, onion and garlic.
