Ingredients

2 lbbeef top round steak, boneless

1 Tbspoil
-
1 mediumonion, coarsly chopped

1 Tbspflour
-
1 clovegarlic, minced (or more) :o)
-
2 largepotatoes, chopped 1/2"-3/4"

2 can(s)(lg cans) tomatoes

2 can(s)whole green chilis chopped coarsly (or more)

1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1 tspcumin
-
2 1/2 cbeef stock
How to Make Caldillo
- Cut meat into cubes ½”- ¾”. Brown well in the oil (medium high heat).
Add flour, onion & garlic & continue browning about 10 min. - Add remaining ingredients ~ Simmer 2-4 hrs.
- GREAT on a cold winter day!
*You can cut up any steak for this – even leftover steak works well, you just don’t need to brown it, just begin where you add the flour, onion and garlic.
