This is a recipe that was given to me by my Aunt Gloria. A good one for soup season!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- 1 - medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 - head cabbage, chopped
- - handful of flat leaf parsely, chopped (optional)
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 - 12 ounce can tomato juice
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1/2 clove garlic, chopped or you can use garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder(you can adjust to your own taste)
- - salt and pepper to taste if needed
- - *note: if you want the soup less tomatoey, use 2 cans of beef broth and no tomato juice.
How To Make cabbage soup

Step 1Saute until onions are clear and meat is no longer pink.

Step 2Add all other ingredients, EXCEPT the beans to the pot and simmer until cabbage is tender. This usually takes about 1 hour.

Step 3Drain and rinse can of kidney beans and add to soup. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
