This is my version of a soup Shoney's used to have on their soup and salad bar. I have been making this for many years now and it is without a doubt one of my very favorite soups.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 medium cabbage head, chopped
- 2 cans 16- oz. red kidney beans, undrained
- 1 large can v-8 juice
How To Make cabbage beef soup

Step 1In a soup pot brown ground beef and onions, drain. Add V-8 juice, cabbage, and kidney beans. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer and simmer about an hour. This is really better the next day as the flavors blend over night.
